The first 15 minutes of class are spent warming up and preparing your mind and bodies for the technique and practical components of class. Students can expect to engage in drills, body movements and exercises to warm the body up during this beginning portion of a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class. After the warm up is complete, the instructor will lead the students through a technique portion of class. The instructor will demonstrate a series of techniques from different positions and scenarios and will then allow the students to practice the movements. This will take about 20-25 minutes of class. The remainder of class time is dedicated to live rolling.
